No entertainment activities on board ships or floating restaurants will be permitted, according to advice issued by Dubai Maritime City Authority.
The suspension of these activities comes in line with the suspension of all entertainment permits in the emirate on Thursday.
Dubai Maritime City Authority issued a circular on Thursday suspending leisure activities on board ships and floating restaurants "until further notice".
The authority indicated that this step "is in line with the updated government directives for precautions and preventive measures to confront Covid-19.
" She said there would be a "focus on social distancing," in a post published on her official Twitter account.
She added, "The Millennium Property Law will continuously monitor and assess the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities in the Dubai government."
