Dubai is among the few cities in the world officially open to tourists after the successful management of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, head of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and president of Dubai Airports, took to Twitter on Sunday to stress that Dubai is safe for visitors.
"Our Dubai home and center are open to the world and recognized, with enhanced safety measures in Dubai and various attractions, visitors and tourists can experience the city with confidence," he said.
His tweets came as the world celebrated World Tourism Day on September 27.
He added, "Tourism is an important source of employment around the world. Travel inspires people, and helps build vital social, cultural and economic relations. On World Tourism Day, we salute the industry and reaffirm our commitment to support the safe recovery of global tourism."
Yusuf Ahmed Khan came to Dubai to meet his uncle and enjoy the cityscape and the 23-year-old made an exotic journey at these unusual times and as a traveler he said he feels very comfortable in Dubai.
