The Public Authority for Manpower has taken a decision not to allow companies and business owners to conduct any governmental transactions for workers except with the presence of a grade certificate except for renewal only.
A salary certificate is requested upon transfer or cancellation to ensure that the financial rights of the worker or employee, whether he is a Kuwaiti citizen or an expatriate, are reserved and that companies are complied with the national financial and employment rights.
The companies allow them to renew work permits only, provided that an undertaking is provided to provide the certificate at the time of its request, in addition to continuing to prevent any further transaction of the company without a salary certificate.
The workforce has liquidated many of the financial guarantees seized with the authority and paid the overdue salaries of workers to ensure that they obtain their financial rights and face the new Corona pandemic conditions, stressing that they will not hesitate to take tougher measures towards companies that refrain from paying their workers' salaries.
In another context, the Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Maryam Al-Aqil announced the allocation of an office to the General Authority for Manpower in the isolated areas as a result of the pandemic of the Corona virus emerging (Covid-19) to receive labor complaints in the event of any dispute with the business owners or failure to implement labor rights .
