Residents of the UAE will have a five-day weekend in the first week of next month from December 1 to 5.
And another two-day break on Wednesday 2 December 2020 and Thursday 3 December 2020.
These three public holidays in addition to the two-day weekend will give residents a five-day break they desperately need.
During this short break, some residents will choose stays while others will travel to their preferred destinations.
However, after the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, nearly all countries have put restrictions on foreign travelers in order to contain the epidemic. But some destinations have opened up to travelers and are relatively safer for residents of the United Arab Emirates.
Mamoun Humaidan, Managing Director, Middle East and North Africa at Wego, said there are a lot of options for Emirati travelers to enjoy their upcoming five-day weekend.
He said that the Seychelles, Maldives, Egypt, Turkey, Georgia, Saudi Arabia and South Korea are among the safest countries for travelers in the MENA region. South Korea has been ranked as one of the successful models for controlling the epidemic.
Humaidan added that while most airlines around the world had resumed their flights, they waived cancellation fees for changing flights and flexibility in changing reservations, making it easier for travelers to plan their trip.
“We advise travelers to plan their trip, and make sure that they are aware of the latest laws and procedures for their destination in order to see the latest news issued by them. However, it is necessary to check the new regulations in force, especially those related to canceling and changing reservations in light of the epidemic.”
The fare for these destinations varies depending on seasonality, however, the average price for a round-trip from the United Arab Emirates to Seychelles is $ 665 (2,440 dirhams), to the Maldives $ 703 (2,580 dirhams), and Egypt 388 dollars.
