Travelers traveling to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah have different requirements when it comes to the correctness of their Covid-19 test before they travel.
According to Air India Express on Facebook, for Indians traveling to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, a PCR test can be taken up to 96 hours before departure.
For expatriates traveling to Sharjah, the test must be taken no later than 72 hours before departure, and the test must be taken from a government-approved laboratory.
There are three Emirati airlines out of five airlines operating special repatriation flights to take the Indians back to their country and for residents currently in India to return to the United Arab Emirates from 12 to 26 July.
This is part of an agreement signed between the civil aviation authorities of both countries.
Some travelers who returned to the Emirates on private flights earlier said that some residents were not allowed to board the plane as their tests were taken at unaccredited centers.
