The Governor of the capital, Sheikh Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa, affirmed that the distribution of meals for migrant workers affected by the consequences of the Corona virus is an important human dimension in light of the national efforts made to limit the spread of the virus, stressing that the distribution process is carried out according to the highest levels of application of precautionary measures and preventive measures Foremost among them is the obligation to wear face masks and to have a sufficient distance between individuals in order to achieve the established standards of social separation.
The governor of the capital strongly denied the existence of any relationship between the process of distributing meals in which mobile units are used and many distribution points in different locations, and the high percentage of existing cases of arrivals.
He pointed out that there are no gatherings in the process of distributing meals, as the numerical density is already present in the areas of residence of foreign workers, which the Ministry of Interior is working to reduce in cooperation with the competent authorities.
The governor of the capital said that the distribution mechanism, which is studied and reviewed periodically, contributed to the reduction of random congestion, which takes place in roads and corridors in the areas of residence of foreign workers without any precautionary measures.
The governor of the capital concluded by noting that strengthening commitment to the precautionary measures to combat Corona is a consistent approach in all efforts to limit the spread of the virus.
