Colonel Adel Al-Dossary, Director of Traffic Operations and Control at the General Traffic Department stated that the number of traffic violations recorded by the General Traffic Department reached 1511 traffic violations in June, in addition to the arrest of 44 vehicles and motorcycles that caused drivers to endanger the safety of residents in residential neighborhoods with the risk of traffic accidents. 47 vehicle breach violations were detected and annoying sounds were issued.

 

He explained that, based on complaints received by the administration from residents of residential neighborhoods, that some drivers violate traffic regulations and rules, and that they review vehicles in a way that endangers their safety and the safety of road users at risk and causes inconvenience to residents with their annoying voices, traffic patrols followed up on these complaints and monitored the people doing those Illegal practices and dealing with them according to legal procedures.

He added that the violations that are monitored in residential neighborhoods are represented in placing the visor of the violator, the end of vehicle registration, the use of the phone while driving, the wrong transcendence in the internal streets, and the invalidity of tires, stressing the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and rules to create a safe environment for residents of residential neighborhoods Especially for pedestrians, children and the elderly, and not to make troublesome sounds or show off in the vehicle in order to keep everyone safe.
