Position: Amending Article 46 bis

From the executive regulations of the Traffic Law and its amendments

 

At the outset, we would like to extend to Your Excellency our sincere thanks for your continuous efforts to enhance joint cooperation in the public interest.

The reference: Ministerial Decree No. 864 of the year 2020 dated 10/28/2020 regarding the amendment of Article 46 bis of the executive regulations of the Traffic Law and its amendments ... attached to a copy of it.

We inform you that the aforementioned ministerial decision was issued to replace the text of Article 46 bis of the aforementioned Ministerial Decree regarding replacing the text of Article 46 bis of the Ministerial Decision with the Executive Regulations with the following text permitting the installation of shaded or tinted glass for all types of vehicles provided that the degree of transparency is not less than (30%) for all windows except the windshield (opposite the driver), it must be of the safe transparent type according to the Gulf standard specifications and it is prohibited to install reflective glass.

Therefore, please kindly alert car dealerships to implement what was mentioned in the ministerial decision mentioned above, so that shaded or tinted glass is allowed to be installed at a rate of up to (70%) and the degree of transparency is not less than (30%) according to the third American specification (AS3) Windshield (opposite the driver) Reflective glass is prohibited to install.

Kindly review and take necessary action.
