The Public Prosecution Office seeks to educate members of society and prevent violations resulting from ignorance of the law.

 

The Federal Public Prosecution warned that assaulting public employees in the UAE is a crime punishable by imprisonment.

In an awareness video that the authority published on its social media accounts on Friday, it stressed that according to Article 248 of the Federal Penal Code:

`` Anyone who uses force, violence, or threat against a public official or a person assigned to a public service. To force him unlawfully to perform or omit any of his duties, even if his goal has not been reached, and if this person has reached his goal, the penalty will be imprisonment for a period of not less than one year.

She added that the Public Prosecution, by video link, seeks to educate members of society and prevent violations resulting from ignorance of the laws.
