His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting today, Wednesday, October 28, 2020 AD, with His Excellency Dr. Nayef bin Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, on the occasion of the visit that he and the accompanying delegation is undertaking to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, they discussed the efforts made by the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council to promote joint Gulf action, and the endeavors that it is making to continue achieving the achievements of the Gulf Cooperation Council in various political, security, economic and social fields in order to achieve the sublime directives of their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, may God protect them and to meet them. During the meeting, the results of the meetings of the relevant ministerial committees held during the current session of the Cooperation Council and the topics they discussed were followed up, in addition to reviewing a number of initiatives that the General Secretariat is working to implement to strengthen the cooperation Council’s relations with countries and international conglomerates through strategic dialogues and partnerships to serve The march of Gulf cooperation and the vital interests of the GCC countries.
During the meeting, it was stressed the importance that the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council attach to strengthening joint cooperation in view of the developments in the political and security situations in the region, the nature of the conditions in which the countries of the Cooperation Council live in light of the repercussions of the Covid 19 pandemic, and the need to work to strengthen Gulf solidarity and solidarity to face various political and security challenges.
