His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired today, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, through visual electronic communication, the seventh meeting of the Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Under Secretaries of the Ministry, the assistant undersecretaries, the advisors of the Minister and the Secretary of the Council. ...
The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Abdullatif Abdullah, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of directors of departments at the General Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his pride in the sincere efforts made by employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kingdom's embassies abroad to perform the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to the Ministry to achieve the Kingdom's foreign policy in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, may God protect him. His Excellency affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, with its active diplomacy and tangible efforts, has achieved a distinguished position at the international level, and that it is making continuous efforts at all levels to strengthen and develop its diplomatic relations with various countries of the world in a way that achieves the supreme interests of the Kingdom and of the honorable citizens.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani praised the distinguished successes achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in combating the Corona pandemic and mitigating its repercussions on citizens and residents alike, under the wise directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, may God protect him, and vigorous follow-up. From His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the distinguished Prime Minister, may God protect him, and under the distinguished leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, leader of the national team to address the Corona virus, God save him.
In this regard, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the Kingdom of Bahrain authorizing the emergency use of the Corona vaccine and making it available to the groups most dealing with people infected with the virus from the front ranks voluntarily starting yesterday, and for the Kingdom of Bahrain to be ranked ninth in the world in terms of the number of medical examinations exceeding its population, as well as what The Ministry of Health announced the launch of rapid coronavirus testing devices in various Bahrain pharmacies for those wishing to self-check and obtain test results within only 15 minutes, and these are important steps that the Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved in its efforts to confront the Covid 19 pandemic.
At the outset, the Council heard a report from His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al-Dossary, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, regarding the efforts made by the work team to organize workshops concerned with preparing the National Human Rights Plan, as the Council praised the great success and distinction of the workshops held.
The Council expressed its appreciation to all the partners of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who contributed to enriching the sessions of those workshops with their bright ideas, proposals and visions.
