The Ja`fari Endowments Council expressed its strong condemnation of the insult to the honorable Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, which represents a flagrant departure from the values of tolerance and coexistence between religions and civilizations.
The Council also expressed its categorical refusal to include the symbols of Muslims and all religions and sanctities in narrow agendas that do not serve coexistence and harmony. They feed hate speech and violence and do not maintain world peace.
The Council said in a statement issued today that this offense represents a flagrant departure from the values of tolerance and coexistence between religions and civilizations, as well as an unacceptable offense against the greatest symbol known to mankind, expressing its categorical refusal to include the symbols of Muslims and all religions and sanctities in narrow agendas that do not serve coexistence and harmony. Rather, it feeds hate speech and violence and does not preserve world peace, praising in this regard the statement issued by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, which clearly expressed its categorical rejection of those actions and practices.
The Council affirmed that the Noble Prophet, may peace and blessings be upon him, a lofty and eternal stature for the span of time will not affect its sanctity the unacceptable offenses, and the prophet’s fragrant biography and his purified Sunnah and the guidance of his honorable family and his companions will remain a beacon of tolerance, brotherhood, justice and equality among all human beings and a guiding light for not only Muslims, but all lovers Goodness, justice and peace in the world.
The Council stressed that the world aspires to promote a culture of tolerance and dialogue between civilizations and religions, to reject violence, hatred, and contempt, and to stop the encroachment on beliefs and religions, hoping for those who have rejected practices to return to adulthood and logic. The Council also calls for the preservation of the sanctities and symbols of all religions in order to preserve human and cultural values and work to promote Bonds of communication, coexistence and peace between all peoples and civilizations.
