His Excellency Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force, met today, Wednesday, October 28, 2020 AD with His Excellency Mark Thomas Esper, Minister of Defense of the United States of America, and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of his visit to the country, in the presence of His Excellency Lt. Gen. Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defense Affairs, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, and His Excellency Major General Sheikh Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force welcomed the US Secretary of Defense and his accompanying delegation, where His Excellency praised the historical and strategic relations that span decades and the continuous cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America in various fields, especially the military, and ways to strengthen and develop them in a way that achieves common interests. For the two friendly countries and peoples.


During the meeting, a number of issues related to regional and international issues were discussed, stressing the continuation of military coordination and defense cooperation between the two friendly countries in laying foundations and achieving security and stability in the region. A number of issues of common concern were also discussed.
