Diplomats said about 206 Pakistanis and 66 Indians with visitor visas were still stuck at Dubai International Airport as of Monday for failing to meet specific entry regulations.
A total of 1,225 Pakistani travelers have been denied entry upon their arrival at Dubai International Airport since the authorities began ensuring that visitor visa holders obtain a return air ticket, 2,000 dirhams in cash or a hotel reservation.
An official at the Pakistani Consulate in Dubai said: “Up to 1019 people who were denied entry have been repatriated, while 206 people remain at the airport waiting to be repatriated within the next 12 hours. Provide food for them. "
He said the consulate has informed the relevant authorities to ensure that the visitors meet the criteria set by the authorities here.
