General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, affirmed that the agreement to establish diplomatic relations with Israel comes within the framework of protecting the supreme interests of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which means protecting the entity of the state, and this matter is not a relinquishment of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, but rather it is from In order to enhance the security of Bahrainis and the stability of their economy, and if Palestine is our Arab case, then Bahrain is our fateful cause.

 

His Excellency stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, since the beginning of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, has stood with the Palestinian cause, and this position is still unambiguous, and this declaration does not contradict Bahrain's position on the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy decisions.

His Excellency indicated that after the passage of (73) years since the Palestinian issue, the danger has moved to many Arab countries whose security situations have changed to varying degrees without the need to enumerate those countries because they are known without a doubt, and the chances of the various solutions that have been proposed as peace initiatives have diminished with regret. In order to solve the Palestinian-Israeli issue, and that the fateful challenges today have reached the region, and we cannot ignore them or turn a blind eye to them.

His Excellency clarified that a realistic view of the regional scene makes us realize that we are dealing with continuous dangers over the past years, we have been able, praise be to God, to ward off most of them, and it is not wise to see the danger and wait for it to reach us if this can be avoided in any way.
