All Kerala state returning passengers from the UAE, including passengers on flights, must now present a negative Covid-19 test result before departure, a senior government official in Kerala said.
Passengers can choose one of three tests: RT-PCR, TrueNat Test, or Antibody Test (IgG / IgM).
The official said that passengers should have "paper evidence" of the negative result and in the airports of the United Arab Emirates, IgG / IgM tests are conducted for travelers.
The decision to make the passive certificate compulsory for all returnees was taken at a cabinet meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala state, on Wednesday.
Ellangovan explained that during the cabinet meeting it was decided that the state would ask the center to compel all passengers to submit a negative Covid-19 test that is at least 72 hours old and the country said that the Indian diplomatic missions in the respective country should arrange this facility at the airports.
