A responsible source revealed that there are moves by the General Administration of Civil Aviation to resume operations between Kuwait and Egypt, for flights departing from Kuwait in a direct way first, in preparation for the operation of commercial flights between the two brotherly countries back and forth very soon.
The source said that the General Administration of Civil Aviation received last Tuesday an official letter from EgyptAir requesting to operate flights departing from Kuwait to Egypt, in order to facilitate the return of Egyptian workers wishing to travel and to facilitate procedures instead of the Egyptian community resorting to an intermediary (transit) point to return to their countries. .
The source stated that "Civil Aviation" discussed the matter in a meeting it held over the past two days, in order to arrange ideas and visions, inform the national airlines and know the extent of their readiness for that.
In a brief response about when to operate the return flights for the Egyptians, the source said: "Very soon."
In the same context, the Egyptian Consulate in Kuwait revealed that, within the framework of directing the Egyptian Cabinet to provide means of support for returning Egyptian citizens for a final return to Egypt, it has provided a dedicated form for this matter that those wishing to fill in must be filled.
