Providing internet packages

The House of Representatives approved the proposal with a desire to urgently provide Internet packages for low-income people to contribute to the distance education process.

One of the sponsors of the proposal, MP Ibrahim Al-Nefaie, said that the proposal will contribute to helping people with limited income, noting that the proposal targets the category of families registered in the Ministry of Social Development.

In turn, MP Muhammad Al-Sisi Al-Buainain said that the success of the distance learning project is a project in which a number of ministries contribute, not just the Ministry of Education, either the Ministry of Labor and Development and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, indicating that citizens and their children in Khalifa City suffer without education due to the absence of Internet networks.

Al-Buainain called on communication companies to do their part and open the Internet during this period, free of charge to citizens.
