The Traffic and Patrols Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police has activated all radars in the emirate to monitor drivers ’compliance with the mandatory lane.
The Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Brigadier General Ahmed Al Naqbi, announced that the device will be activated to monitor the commission of a light vehicle, the violation of failure to stay within the mandatory traffic line at all intersections of traffic signals in the emirate, and a violation will be issued according to the text of Article 86 of the amending executive regulations of the Traffic and Traffic Law for not adhering to the lane of light vehicles. The obligatory value of 400 dirhams, stressing the necessity to adhere to the traffic signs and instructions, represented by traffic lights, guide arrows and traffic signs on the side of the road.
The Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police appealed to drivers to cooperate with traffic officers to control road safety, to apply traffic laws and regulations to maintain safety and security, explaining that surveillance cameras at intersections monitor other violations as well, such as cutting the red light signal, and vehicles crossing the intersection at high speeds. He added that "the obligatory course for drivers is to walk on the lane without changing the direction of the vehicle, to the right or to the left in the distance before intersections, with the vehicle committing to walk in the lane of the road according to the ground signs that indicate if the driver is permitted to turn left or right To avoid dangerous traffic accidents and to protect lives and property.
