Plan for return of the prohibited countries to Kuwait

In a move that may constitute the beginning of a breakthrough for the crisis preventing entry of travelers from banned countries by direct flight with Kuwait, Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah is meeting today with representatives of Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways to discuss a set of proposals presented by the two companies in a plan to stimulate air traffic, most notably the reception of travelers directly And reducing the quarantine period to a week, while taking precautionary health measures such as PCR examinations.

The proposals, which are supposed to be decided upon today, provide for directly receiving travelers from the 34 banned countries without the need to spend 14 days in an unauthorized country, pointing out that countries are classified into two categories, the first low-risk and the other high-risk, to adopt a special mechanism for dealing with each category.
