The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) said that holders of visitor visas who overstayed their stay in the United Arab Emirates and wish to benefit from the grace period for fines must notify 48 hours before their departure from Dubai.
Exemption from all fines and other administrative restrictions applies to those whose visas expired before March 1. People with visitor visas and residence visas expiring before March 1 can benefit from the exemptions, provided they exit the country before December 31.
Visitor visa holders with their visas that expired before March 1, and who are traveling outside Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah airports, must arrive at the airport at least six hours before departure to take advantage of the amnesty program. Those traveling through Dubai and Al Maktoum airports will be required to come to the Dubai Civil Aviation Security Center 48 hours before departure.
Resident visa violators must book an airline ticket with a departure date before December 31 and arrive at the airport with the ticket and passport four hours before the departure date.
The commission also said that violators who have dependents on their sponsorship must leave with their dependents.
