Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouk Al-Ghanem issued an important statement today during his meeting in the National Assembly today with the Parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee with owners of small, medium and large projects and workers in the private sector, as well as discussing the economic implications of the Corona pandemic.

Marzouq Al-Ghanem stressed the necessity of taking measures and issuing legislations that protect workers in the private sector under the current circumstances and that it is not correct for the owners of small and medium enterprises and some entities of the private sector to bear the losses and face the current difficulties on their own.

And that these losses are due to exceptional circumstances due to the measures taken by the state to confront the spread of the virus and called on members of the National Assembly ministers and representatives to assume responsibility and the need to provide security and safety for workers in the private sector.
 
He called on the government to take the right decisions away from any influences or pressures and to take all measures to support the private sector and its employees.

The Minister of Oil and the Minister of Electricity and Water, Khaled al-Fadil, also announced during the session today a decision not to appoint expatriate workers and reduce the numbers of current employees of oil companies.
