No deaths for Covid-19

The UAE has not recorded any deaths of Covid-19 within 24 hours for the third time this month This came as the Ministry of Health and Prevention reported on Saturday that 313 cases of Covid-19 and 393 had recovered.

Today's announcement raises the total number of cases to 58,562, while redemptions stand at 51,628. Toll 343.

The ministry added that more than 52,000 new tests were performed for Covid-19.

On July 15, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces announced on Twitter that the country had not witnessed a single death from Covid-19 in 24 hours and the country had not recorded any deaths due to complications caused by the virus the next day as well .

Thanks to group tests, communication tracking, patient isolation, and awareness campaigns, the UAE's Covid mortality rate of 0.6 per cent is well below the global average of 4.3 per cent.
