The Supreme Committee for restarting flights at Kuwait International Airport, headed by the President of the General Administration of Civil Aviation, discussed the application of health procedures and requirements to be followed, to gradually restart commercial flights at the airport.
All safety and health measures have been applied to all airport workers, precautionary measures, preventive measures and equipment necessary to apply health and preventive requirements (sterilization systems, glass barriers, thermal cameras, floor stickers).
The return of air traffic depends on three main stages:
- The first, starting from August 1 and continuing for 6 months, with an operating rate of no more than 30 percent, and the expected number of passengers not exceeding 10 thousand passengers per day, and a maximum of expected flights 100 flights per day.
Second, it starts from February 1, 2021 and also lasts 6 months with an operating rate of no more than 60 percent, and the expected number of passengers does not exceed 20 thousand passengers per day, and the expected maximum number of flights is 200 flights per day.
Third, starting from August 1, 2021, with a 100 percent operating rate, the expected number of passengers is more than 30,000 passengers per day, and the expected maximum number of flights is 300 flights per day.
It provides for a random examination of arrivals on every trip that arrives in the country, and that departures will obtain a certificate of injury-free from health centers inside the airport or from centers accredited by the Ministry of Health, but in the event that some countries require a «PCR» examination, it will be extracted to the traveler before The flight date is 48 hours.
