Kuwaiti Health is studying a new procedure on "mandatory quarantine"

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health is studying the application of a new procedure regarding the mandatory quarantine imposed on travelers returning from abroad or those in contact with positive cases.

As Kuwaiti sources revealed, the Ministry of Health is considering exempting those who received the Coronavirus vaccine from the mandatory quarantine period imposed on those coming to Kuwait or those in contact with positive cases.

Informed sources revealed that the application of such a measure is likely to be in parallel with achieving an appropriate rate of vaccination for the target population, which is expected to be reached by next April in light of the efforts made to expand the vaccine recipient segment.

The sources emphasized that «with the acceleration of the pace of vaccination and the continuing availability of vaccines and reaching high rates expected by the end of Ramadan, the closure will become part of the past».
