The Jahra Educational District has suspended the registration of female Al-Masai students in the secondary stage, due to the student density of one of the schools.
Educational sources clarified that the Jahra Governorate, which includes approximately 9 residential areas, has only one school for girls ’evening shift in the high school stage, indicating that the current period has witnessed a great turnout for the school to register for completion of studies in grades from tenth to twelfth.
The sources stated that the number of registered students has reached 1600 so far, indicating that this has led to the suspension of registration and the refusal of any female student to complete her studies.
The sources indicated that there is a tendency from the educational district to address the Ministry of Education to allow it to open another school to accommodate the rest of the students, pointing out that great dissatisfaction and frustration afflicted the students after their refusal to accept them in the school, especially that there is nothing that prevents them from completing their studies.
The sources called on the Ministry of Education to respond quickly and find a solution to this problem that afflicts a large group of Jahra’s children.
