Kuwait reappointed the oil and finance ministers in the new government

Kuwait News Agency reported that the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a decree on Tuesday approving the formation of a new cabinet that would re-appoint the ministers of oil and finance.

Oil Minister Muhammad Abd al-Latif al-Faris, Finance Minister Khalifa Hamadeh, and Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser al-Sabah were reappointed in the new government.

KUNA quoted Sheikh Sabah as saying that "the coming period requires cooperation with the legislative authority, and the meetings bring viewpoints closer to each other."

He stressed the necessity of agreeing on a package of legislation, resolving "some political files" and uniting efforts to tackle "financial and administrative corruption", whether inside or outside the government apparatus.
