After the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh stated the following:

At the beginning of its meeting, the Cabinet listened to a visual presentation by Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah and Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs on the epidemiological situation “Covid-19” in Kuwait, Dr. Buthaina Al-Mudhaf, which included an overview of the WHO's weekly report of the latest developments and developments of the epidemiological situation of the pandemic Which shows the rise in the number of new cases to more than 40 million cases and the number of deaths to more than 1.1 million deaths globally, as well as the measures taken by some countries to control the outbreak of the epidemic since the beginning of this month, as well as the details of the number of cases registered in the State of Kuwait daily until the date October 26, 2020 and the percentage of intensive care occupancy according to age groups and the number of daily deaths. The reasons leading to the continued spread of the epidemic in Kuwait and the mechanisms and protocols for dealing with the spread of infection and limiting the increase in cases of "Covid-19" as a result of the reopening of society were presented. The presentation ended with a number of Recommendations.

On the other hand, the Council listened to a visual presentation made by the Minister of Health, Chairman of the Committee for Preparing and Implementing the Appropriate Mechanism for Vaccination Against the "Covid-19" Virus on the Operational Plan for Vaccination Against the Virus, which included an explanation of the objectives of the vaccination plan, which are to reduce complications, infection rates, hospitalization rates, and relieve stress. On intensive care and reducing deaths, as it is scheduled to start the vaccination campaign with the arrival of the first batch of the vaccine and over the course of a whole year, and the target groups for vaccination have been identified, namely:

First: the groups most vulnerable to the development of the disease into serious complications
* Elderly.
People with chronic diseases.
Second: the groups most vulnerable to infection
Health care providers.
Front row workers.
٭ Basic service providers.
And based on the Cabinet’s keenness to complete all precautionary measures and health requirements in the face of the Coronavirus, which reduce and limit the spread of the epidemic, and maintain the cohesion of the health system without any obstacles that would reduce the efficiency of health services, and since work to confront the epidemic is a common national responsibility among all The people of Kuwait, the government and the people, have stressed the need to continue with what it decided in advance of the mechanism for the gradual return to normal life of commitment to the presence of 50% of the workforce in the government and private sectors, with an emphasis on following up the implementation of compliance with health requirements and that each party provides appropriate cadres to follow up the implementation Procedures and implementation of health requirements within its affiliated facilities, with the need to hold accountable negligence. On the other hand, the Council of Ministers calls upon the brothers, citizens and residents, to assume their responsibilities and perform the duties assigned to them, which are as follows:
٭ Go out for necessity.
٭ Wearing a mask.
٭ physical distancing.
Hand sterilization.
٭ Take care of the elderly and people with chronic diseases.
