The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Operations and Traffic, Major General Jamal Al Sayegh, has announced the exemption of all vehicles whose driving licenses have expired, as of March 12, from examination until further notice, provided that an insurance policy is in effect for a period of one year in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is passing through.

Al-Sayegh said, in a statement that exempting vehicles from technical examination does not exempt their owners from extracting the car book from traffic departments and citizen services, when they return to work, pointing to exempting citizens and residents from the fines resulting from the expiration of market licenses and vehicle licenses during the period of state administration disruption. He indicated that the exemption of cars from inspection continues until the end of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh issued a ministerial decree regarding the exemption of all cars whose driving licenses have expired from March 12 from technical examination until further notice, provided that an insurance policy is valid for one year.
