The minister, who was speaking at a press conference held in the presence of ministers and officials at Al-Qudhaibiya Palace, in the wake of the cabinet session during which the program was launched, which consists in launching a comprehensive awareness campaign to register citizens looking for work opportunities according to registration mechanisms and procedures that complement and enhance the efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Labor and Development. Social Security, and increasing the support provided by the unemployment insurance law by amending Decree Law No. 78 of 2006 in cooperation with the legislative authority, and re-designing the training program and wage support. For his part, Minister of Labor and Social Development, Jamil bin Muhammad Humaidan, stressed that the Kingdom measures the unemployment rate in accordance with international standards agreed upon in determining unemployment rates, which stipulate that the unemployed should be able to work, willing and looking for him seriously, in addition to completing the procedures related to registering in the lists Those looking for work and affirmation of his desire to take advantage of suitable training and employment opportunities.
Minister Humaidan revealed the initiative to raise the fee for permits for the parallel system of choice and the fee for the flexible work permit system, as the fee for the optional parallel system permits will be raised from 300 dinars for the two years to 500 dinars for each work permit in the event that the establishment does not comply with the percentage of Bahrainisation and the fees imposed on flexible employment permits are raised. For foreigners from 200 to 500 dinars, in addition to a monthly fee of 30 dinars.
