The sources said, according to Al-Qabas, that the occupancy rate of the wards' beds allocated to Corona patients decreased to 16% last month, after it reached 28% during September, due to the lack of compliance with the Ministry of Health instructions, and the large number of gatherings, social events and mixing.
The sources added that the occupancy rate of intensive care beds also decreased by 23%, indicating that the number of cases in care decreased from 142 cases on 4 October to 114 cases on 4 this month.
She indicated that most of Corona's patients in intensive care in hospitals are from the elderly segment, who suffer from chronic problems and diseases, such as heart and high blood pressure, and people with respiratory diseases in general, noting that some of them are stable, and the other is considered critical.
The sources stated that the decrease in the occupancy rate of wards beds designated for Covid 19 was observed since mid-October, until it reached 16%, accompanied by a limited decrease in the occupancy rate of intensive care beds to reach 23%.
It indicated that the occupancy rate of wards beds was about 18% after July, and it increased during September to 28%, due to non-compliance with the Ministry of Health's instructions by some segments, and the large number of gatherings, social events and mixing.
