Expired residency status for expats

The UAE government has made a series of decisions to alleviate those residing in the country’s land under the current conditions to confront the Corona virus.

One of the most important of these decisions taken by the Council of Ministers is to consider expatriate residency, visas and entry permits, whether they are present inside or outside the country, valid until the end of December of this year and ending after the first of March 2020, as well as all identity cards ending on the first of March valid until the end of December 2020.

As for the violators of residency before March 2020, they can benefit from the honor of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, whether they are holders of expired residency, visas, or entry permits from May 18 for a period of three months, and they are exempt from all fines incurred by them, whether they are residency or ID card, and they leave the country.
