The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a number of traffic measures that will be implemented in the first edition of the Dubai cycling event on Friday. ...

 

First, the following road closures will be implemented between 4 AM and 8 AM:

Closure of Sheikh Zayed Road along with Al Khail Road, the alternative road.

- The lower financial center road will be closed so that the upper financial center road is the alternative road.

- Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, the alternative Burj Khalifa road will be closed.

The Roads and Transport Authority has also announced the following parking spaces for participants:

- The Dubai Mall and Zabeel parking spaces across the upper Financial Center Road.

Car parks at Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) across Al Mustaqbal and Zabeel 2 Streets.

The authority added in a tweet on Wednesday: "If you want to participate in the Dubai Raid Challenge on November 20, 2020, check the traffic procedures implemented by the Roads and Transport Authority to facilitate public participation in the challenge."

As part of Sheikh Zayed Road that turns into a bike path on November 20, residents and visitors will have the rare opportunity to ride along two different routes as part of the first event of its kind.

Dubai Media Office announced on Tuesday that Dubai Ride, which will be held as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2020, will offer a family-friendly fun ride option of 4 km and a more professional 14 km option.
