The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announced a 24% reduction in the price of LPG cylinders for domestic use.

Suhail Muhammad Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, said that the decision aims to increase the happiness of community members, improve the quality of life and support them, according to a statement on Twitter on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, the new prices will improve the lives of consumers, achieve competitiveness in the local markets, prevent any risks related to illegal prices or profits by service providers, and maintain high-quality gas supplies for homes.

The new rates will take effect from October 1, 2020.
