Informed Kuwaiti sources said that the Civil Service Bureau stipulated that the Ministry of Education not appoint any non-Kuwaiti teacher without his approval.

The sources explained: We stipulated that the Ministry of Education should not issue any decision to appoint non-Kuwaiti teachers until after the file of each teacher is referred to the Bureau for review and to ensure that the conditions set by the Bureau for approval of the appointment are met.

The sources added: We withdrew from them the authority to appoint teachers after we registered on them the desire to appoint a shawarma teacher as a teacher! In response to a question about the conditions for appointing non-Kuwaitis as teachers, the sources answered: The most important condition is that the job listed in the entry visa must be a teacher, even if he holds a specialized university degree. We do not agree to appoint him if he is able to come to Kuwait with an entry permit for another job.

Regarding the reason for stopping appointments for teacher jobs, the sources replied, saying: This is not true, but 4 majors have been identified that give their holders approval for appointment during the current academic year, namely: chemistry, physics, mathematics, and the Arabic language, provided that other conditions of age, years of experience and appreciation are met, and according to the order Categories approved by the Council of Ministers.
