Postponing the installments to housing services

Within the programs and initiatives of the financial and economic package that were launched in implementation of the royal directives of His Majesty the King of the country, and in implementation of the order of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and directives of His Royal Highness, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister.

The Council of Ministers decided to postpone the installments due on housing services with the Housing Bank for a period of six months, starting in April 2020, and the Council decided to stop collecting the rents from the tenants and beneficiaries of the shops owned by the Housing Bank for a period of three months, starting in April.

 The Council instructed the Housing Bank to re-prioritize the disbursement of its budget for the current year by granting priority to provide the necessary budget for disbursing housing finance to about 700 financing, in light of the memorandum submitted for this purpose by the Ministerial Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs and Financial Balance presented by His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Committee.
