In implementation of the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the beloved monarch of the country, may God protect him, to unify national efforts to confront the repercussions of the global spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19).
This is in a way that preserves the health and safety of citizens and residents in parallel with the continuation of the state's programs and the course of its work in order to achieve sustainable development endeavors for the benefit of citizens, and based on Decree-Law No. (30) of 2020 adding a new clause No. (5) to Paragraph (c) of Article (8) of the Decree.
By Law No. (78) of 2006 regarding insurance against unemployment, the Council of Ministers approved the payment of a percentage of the wages of Bahraini workers insured under the Social Insurance Law promulgated by Decree Law No. (24) of 1976, with a maximum of 50% of the wage insured under it, in The companies most affected by the repercussions of the new Corona virus (COVID-19) in accordance with the conditions and controls set by the Minister of Labor and Social Development, from the unemployment insurance account for a period of three months starting from October 2020, and the Council mandated the competent authorities to take the necessary measures in this regard.
