Today, the UAE Ministry of Interior published a video clip of a car driver on the wrong side of the road, killing three people and the driver was drunk, and alcoholic beverages were found inside his car.
The video shows the car speeding on the wrong side of the road in the face of oncoming traffic, barely losing many vehicles before the fatal accident.
Investigations into the collision that occurred in Umm Al Quwain at dawn on Sunday indicated that, based on samples taken from the deceased driver who caused the accident, the driver was reckless while he was drunk against the direction of traffic and was driving at high speed on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road when the tragic accident occurred.
Two drivers and one front seat passenger were killed in the accident, which was reported around 1.30am on Sunday morning.
The Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Umm Al Quwain Police said: "The collision occurred on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road between Exits 113 and 116."
The citizen of the Comoros Island - the driver of the first car - set off against the direction of traffic and collided with the other car that was traveling from the direction of Dubai towards Ras Al Khaimah.
"The driver of the second car and the passenger next to him - two young Emiratis in their twenties - were seriously injured and died on the spot," he added.
