In line with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism’s “Go Safe” certification program approved by the Abu Dhabi government, regular Covid-19 testing for all tourism sector employees is mandatory.
This step is to ensure the health and safety of its residents and visitors, and follows the recent launch of the "rediscovering Abu Dhabi" campaign that aims to engage in the myriad of accommodations and tourist offers available to visitors within the UAE capital.
Abu Dhabi has received international acclaim for its highly successful efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19, and the Emirate continues to achieve positive results as a result of joint initiatives and regulations that have been introduced to reduce the spread of the virus.
The success of managing various aspects of the epidemic is due to the emirate's distinct ability to establish successful public-private partnerships.
The strict cooperation between the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, stakeholders and various regulatory bodies, including the Ministry of Health, the Department of Economic Development, Abu Dhabi Airport and others, helped to form a safe framework for dealing with tourism operations in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi has also built a checklist of 107 checkpoints that adhere to more advanced standards in line with health management guidelines.
The strict awareness campaign carried out by the local government also played an important role in the development of Abu Dhabi during this period, ensuring the safety of all residents and consumers by giving individuals the tools necessary to take responsibility for their future well-being. The government has implemented a range of safety measures to protect the community, including adopting social awareness sessions throughout the emirate, checkpoints to check temperatures and regular cleansing of all operational areas across tourism institutions.
