The second virtual conference of the Arab Tourism Media Center recommended abolishing entry visas between Arab countries, reducing taxes for travelers, developing unified protocols for Arab tourist destinations, encouraging domestic tourism, and increasing joint Arab tourism marketing campaigns, to support the recovery of the Arab travel and tourism sector, and restore tourism activity.

 

The advisor to the Minister of Economy for Tourism Affairs, Muhammad Khamis bin Hareb Al Muhairi, said at the conference that the UAE dealt with high professionalism with the Corona pandemic, and the health sector had proven its high efficiency during the crisis, which contributed to avoiding heavy losses to the tourism sector.

He stressed that the success of the UAE in the tourism industry made it occupies a prominent global position in the sector, and its people to efficiently cross the current crisis in terms of following the highest levels of health and safety, and using technology in rapid detection and required analyzes.

In turn, the economic advisor to the World Tourism Organization, a member of the Board of Directors of the European Travel Committee and the German Tourism Federation, Dr. Saeed Al-Bouti, called for the promotion of domestic and intra-Arab tourism under the current circumstances.
