The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention launched the "Post Office" initiative as part of the unified national medical records program to connect hospitals, clinics and health care providers with a central database system.
The post office initiative will help provide a smooth flow of all claims between healthcare facilities and insurance companies. It will improve treatment services and reduce health care costs in the United Arab Emirates through its smart integrated health system that aims to reduce the misuse of financial resources.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, launched Alriyati at the Arab Health Exhibition 2018 at the Arab Health Exhibition 2018.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention, in collaboration with Pure CS Healthcare Technology, will cover all public and private health facilities in 2021.
Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector, said: “Riyati is a digital health platform that provides an integrated health care system, as it displays updated patient records data and provides innovative solutions in the automation and management of health data, using the latest technologies.
From verification of eligibility, insurance coverage and electronic payments, including claim submission and tracking of rejections, the new service will help provide better management and tracking of central information related to electronic insurance claims.
