The UAE government is taking many strict measures and precautionary measures regarding migrant workers to ensure business continues with construction companies even during the implementation of the decision to ban the transfer of workers between the Emirates to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced that it would allow contracting companies to create workplaces in their workplaces. This step aims to provide sufficient space for the safe distance for workers in the accommodation and reduce the risk of mixing among workers.
The move came after coordination between the ministry, municipalities, and competent local bodies, and the ministry confirmed that companies wishing to build housing for them in workplaces must adhere to the regulations and descriptions specified by local bodies. They should also take the necessary precautions for the social distance between workers.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has also made it clear that inspection will take place at workplaces that are built on construction sites to ensure that hygiene and occupational safety requirements are met and necessary precautions are taken.
