Since the resumption of work last July, the authority has succeeded so far in issuing 858 thousand cards for citizens and residents of all categories, according to what was revealed by the Director of Production and Distribution Department at the Public Authority for Civil Information, Jassem Al-Mithen, pointing out that the cards of non-Kuwaitis that were issued amounted to 484,298 cards.
"The commission has succeeded in the last few years, and in light of the presence of hundreds of thousands of requests to renew civil cards, such as ending card files for Kuwaitis, domestic workers, citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Article 17 holders working in government agencies in addition to diplomats, so that they are currently issued without priority."
And he announced the existence of a plan that the authority is currently working on, which is to terminate the files for children under 5 years and issue their cards, so that all the categories of cards that cannot issue a card through the application of my identity have obtained their cards without any problems, in addition to another vision that is being done Work on it by distributing cards for non-Kuwaitis according to their areas of residence, whether Ahmadi or Jahra, to relieve pressure on the main center south of Surra.
He pointed out that 191,000 cards were issued to Kuwaitis over the past period, along with 182,000 other domestic workers, in light of the presence of 202,000 cards that were renewed and stacked inside the devices.
