Authorities announced Tuesday that all students studying in sixth grade and above in Abu Dhabi will learn electronically from their safe homes.
The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Committee to Combat Covid-19 in Abu Dhabi said that distance learning will be applied to high school students as a precaution against the spread of the virus.
Students in grades 9 through 12 were given the option to attend in-person classes as required to take international exams.
These classes are those required to prepare them for university.
With schools reopening for campuses across the country from the new academic year on August 31, authorities have given parents the option to continue 100 percent e-learning for their departments.
