The General Department of Narcotics Control of Dubai Police contributed to the arrest of 45.5% of the accused involved in cases of narcotics and psychotropic substances, and the seizure of 75.5% of the quantities of narcotics seized at the state level during the past year, according to statistics reviewed by the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri Jinnah. The UAE at Expo 2020 Dubai, as part of the annual inspection program for public administrations and police stations, in the presence of his assistant for criminal investigation affairs, Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al-Mansoori.

Al-Marri stressed that the General Administration of Narcotics Control was able to develop its methods and enhance its capabilities to overthrow drug dealers, and deal painful blows to them, in cooperation with the competent authorities.

The administration was able to pass 76 important information to 23 countries in cooperation with the liaison officers, which contributed to the arrest of 19 international suspects, while it blocked and closed 75 accounts on social media applications and websites used to promote drugs.
The Commander-in-Chief was also briefed on Hemaya International Center's awareness programs, which benefited 3,112,363 beneficiaries of 50 different nationalities, who participated in 124 activities, while the total number of beneficiaries of social assistance reached 53 people.

The "Anonymous Messages" campaign launched by Hemaya International Center in cooperation with many partners such as the Roads and Transport Authority, the Central Bank, and mobile service providers Etisalat and Du, achieved several goals during its launch period from July 15 to November 1 last year. More than 190 million people and the 901 call center recorded an increase of 32% in the number of inquiries, while calls and reports on the cybercrime platform witnessed an increase of 150%.
